The Wizard’s Apprentice is a single-player top-down game with the goal of teaching 1st to 3rd graders about colour blindness. The story in the game is that the player is the young apprentice of a friendly wizard, and must collect the correct potions the wizard has asked for. The twist is that the wizard speech bubbles indicate the colour of the potion with the name of the colour, but the text colour is not what people without colour-blindness would expect. Instead, it will be coloured according to what people with deuteranomaly, the most common type of colour blindness, perceive the colour to be. The player will learn about colour blindness through interactions with the wizard and when they give them the incorrect potion. The Wizard will explain to the player that the character has deuteranomaly, and briefly explain what it is.
